An Iranian dancer, installation artist, and filmmaker As a dancer, he began his artistic career at the age of 15, before enrolling at Tehran Film School. His short dance film As I Was Leaving My City was directed in 2006. Another short film he made, My Atomic Beloved (2008), was also a dance film that was screened at the Venice Film Festival. A talent award was presented to him for the film Sight (2009). A significant element of his work is influenced by his Iranian background, which has been screened in a variety of venues and festivals around the world.
